Do not let others dictate your leadership style - become an Authentic Leader
Being a manager in an agile setup is the hardest job. On one side you are still the one responsible for the outcome of what your employees do, and on the other side you might feel that you are losing the control – or at least, losing the illusion of control.
How you act as a manager is extremely important for the success of your organisation. Resent surveys show that up to 96% of the challenges in applying agile approaches is related to what you do or what you could do as a manager. So, success comes down to the managers providing appropriate leadership in an agile organisation.
Traditional approaches to agile coaching often miss the mark. They either create a distance between managers and their teams or advocate for a one-size-fits-all, idealised leadership model. Thankfully, that narrative is changing.
Introducing Authentic Leadership by Better Change
We’ve refined our expertise in leadership development to bring you our Authentic Leadership program. Here’s what sets us apart:
Practical and Pragmatic: No idealised or dogmatic leadership models.
Confidential Learning Space: A secure environment to discuss and reflect on your challenges.
Strength-Based Development: We build on what you’re already good at.
Cutting-Edge Theories: Stay updated with the latest trends in management science.
The Cohort Experience: Structured Flexibility
Our Authentic Leadership program runs for half a year and is designed to easily fit into your daily managerial role. The program runs virtually, allowing you to join a cohort of six to eight peers. Each month, you’ll meet for a few hours in sessions facilitated by experienced leadership coaches. And yes, there’s a bit of homework between sessions – we believe in continuous learning.
The Power of Leadership Cohorts
Leaders are grouped into small, professionally-facilitated cohorts to ensure:
Expert Guidance: Each cohort is led by professional coaches.
Safe and Focused Learning Environment: Space to practise, reflect, and grow.
Customised Learning: Refine your leadership style within an agile context.
Peer-to-Peer Learning: Inspiring discussions and shared experiences.
Certification and Next Steps
Besides the educational experience, the program also prepares you for Scrum Alliance’s CAL-2 certification in:

The Agile Organization
Agile Approaches to Change
Note: CAL-1 certification isn’t required to join the program but is a prerequisite for CAL-2 certification.
